IB Scoring Breakdown

Students receive a maximum of 7 points from each group below (Group # denoted in brackets), plus 3 possible bonus points from TOK, which includes CAS and the Extended Essay, to obtain their 24 points. However, there are a number of caveats about how these scores can be arrived at so please review the DP Handbook , pages 5-6 carefully.

In the assessment column, “Ext” refers to “externally assessed” assignments that are sent away to the IB offices overseas for grading. “Int/Mod” refers to “internally assessed/externally moderated” assignments that are graded by our teachers, but “moderated” which means that a certain percentage are re-graded by IB personnel for monitoring/calibration.
